TUSC - Important COVID-19 Protocols

To our Trumbull United Players, Families and Coaches:

Soccer is back! We are very excited to kick-off the 2020-2021 season with practices starting this week and next. First, we would like to thank all of our club volunteers, especially the Tryout Committee, for their VERY hard work getting us to this point. Second, we would like to thank our Director of Coaching, Jaime Jorge, and the entire coaching staff. It takes more than a village to prepare for and run tryouts and this collective group pulled it off exceptionally well. Most importantly, we would like to thank YOU, our TUSC families for your patience and support as we navigated through these unprecedented times. Our sense of community for Trumbull soccer is amazing and we couldn't be more grateful.

In the coming days, you will start to receive more details regarding practice and game schedules. Games are scheduled to begin the weekend of Sept 12th / 13th and we are cautiously optimistic that we will start on-time. As always, we will act in coordination with the CJSA and EDP league officials to ensure we are following all required protocols. We are also working on uniform orders and a few other open issues in the coming days.

One very important update we need to share is the TUSC “Return to Play” COVID-19 Protocols for 2020-21. These procedures and safeguards are effective immediately and cover all TUSC-related events including games and practices.
Click here to access the full document and know the protocols are always available on our website.

Please take the necessary time to read and explain these rules to your children as well as any friends and family members who may attend TUSC activities. The protocols follow the CJSA Return to Play guidelines that were communicated to us this summer and are posted at Greg Verna, TUSC co-treasurer, has taken on responsibility as our Safety Director for 2020/2021 and will be working with the TUSC Executive Board, team managers and coaching staff to ensure these measures are known and adhered to. The safety of our players, coaches, volunteers and families is paramount and it is our collective responsibility to comply with the protocols to ensure a positive, safe return to soccer. Any questions, comments or concerns should be directed to Greg ([email protected]) or the TUSC general inbox ([email protected]

Enjoy the last few days of summer and we look forward to seeing you all out on the pitch!!!
