Soccer is back!!

Each tryout session will begin promptly at 5:00p and 6:45p at Indian Ledge. Please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes early to complete the mandatory health screening and check-in. To ensure everyone’s safety, all are reminded to adhere to our safety procedures. The health and safety of our players, coaches and volunteers is paramount - please do your part to help us achieve a very successful experience!



  1. Only pre-registered players will be allowed to tryout – NO walk-ins!
  2. A complete player profile including birth certificate and medical information. Please login to the website and confirm this is done for each player participating in tryouts.
  3. Completion of the COVID consent form. If you did not receive this communication, please let us know and we will resend.

Preparation for Tryouts:

  1. Only 1 parent / guardian should accompany the player(s) at tryouts.
  2. Returning players should wear their white game jersey from last year.
  3. New players should wear a plain white shirt. A number will be assigned at check-in.
  4. All players should arrive wearing a mask, shin guards and cleats (no turf shoes - some sessions might be on grass). Players should also bring a clearly labeled water bottle or sports drink.
  5. NO bags, balls, or cell phones will be allowed on the field!
  6. Prior to arriving, please complete a health check of the player:
    1. Has the player experienced any symptoms such as cold, fever or shortness of breath?
    2. Has the player or anyone in the household been in contact with anyone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days?
    3. Has the player or anyone in the household traveled outside of CT, specifically any state or country with a travel advisory, in the last 14 days?
If you answered “yes” to any of the health screening questions, your player should not attend tryouts.  Please send an email to [email protected] to let us know and we will reschedule tryouts for your child at a future date.  


In the case of inclement weather, a message will be posted on our website, TUSC social media pages and also sent via email. Tryout sessions will be run in the rain however will be immediately stopped at the first site of lightning.

When you arrive:
  1. Please put on a mask as you exit your car and proceed to the amphitheater (i.e. clam shell) for check-in. Volunteers will be arranged by player birth year. At all times, please maintain at least 6 feet of social distancing.
  2. Once your registration is confirmed, the player will proceed to our health check volunteers.
  3. Each player will have their temperature taken and will be given hand sanitizer. If their temperature is less than 100.4, the player will be directed to the appropriate tryout location. If their temperature is higher than 100.4, the player will not be allowed to participate.
  During tryouts:
  1. In order to comply with state and town regulations regarding social gatherings, we ask that all parents / guardians return to their cars or vacate the premises.
  2. Players will not be required to wear masks during the session however they will be asked to sanitize hands after water breaks (sanitizer will be provided by TUSC).
  3. At the end of tryouts, players will be asked to put their masks on to leave the field and rejoin his / her parent / guardian.
  4. No one will be allowed to linger or gather after the tryout sessions. The premises must be vacated quickly to allow the park rangers to close the park.
